We would like you to have a good understanding of the types of information Bidesk collect when you register for and use Bidesk’s services.
I. Registration Information
At the point of creating a Bidesk Account, you provide us with personal information that includes your contact information (Email Address, name, and a password). You can also choose to add a phone number for SMS or Google Authenticator account to be used for 2FA verification which will help to improve security.
II. User Identity Authentication Information
In order to comply with global industry regulatory standards including Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know-Your-Customer (KYC), and Counter Terrorist Financing (CTF), Bidesk requires user accounts to undergo user identity authentication for both Personal & Enterprise-level accounts. This implies collecting formal identification.
OUR SERVICES USAGE INFORMATION
I. Service Usage Information
During the time of use of the Bidesk platform, we'll monitor and collect tracking information related to all the usage such as access IP address, date and time, device identification, browser type and operating system. All these information may be directly obtained by Bindesk or through third party services. This service usage data helps us in our systems to ensure that our interface is accessible for users across all platforms and can aid during criminal investigations.
II. Transaction Information
For all users accounts both personal and enterprise user accounts, we collect all the transaction information including deposit snapshots, account balances, trade history, withdrawals, order activity and distribution history. This transaction data is monitored for suspicious trading activity for user fraud protection, and legal case resolution.
THE REASON BIDESK COLLECT THIS INFORMATION
I. It Helps To Provide And Maintain Our Services
Information collected are used to deliver our services and verify user identity.
The IP address and unique identifiers stored in your device’s cookies are used to help us authenticate your identity and provide our services. In accordance with our legal obligations and system requirements, we cannot provide you with services without data like identification, contact information and transaction-related information.
II. To Protect Our Users
The information collected is being used to protect our platform, users’ accounts and archives.
We use IP addresses and cookie data to protect against automated abuse such as spam, phishing and Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks.
We analyse trading activity with the goal of detecting suspicious behavior early to prevent potential fraud and loss of funds to bad actors.
III. To Comply With Legal And Regulatory Requirements
Respect for the privacy and security of data you store with Bidesk passes information on our approach to complying with regulations, governmental requests and user-generated inquiries. All collected user information will not be disclosed or provided to any third party sources without review from our legal case team and/or prior consent from the user.
IV. The Site Performance Evaluation
We actively evaluate and analyse data to understand how our services are used. The site evaluation review activity is conducted by our operations team which help us to continually improve our platform’s performance and to resolve issues with the user experience.
We constantly monitor our systems’ activity information and communications with users to look for and quickly fix problems.
V. Communication With Users
We make use of personal information collected, such as email address to communicate with users directly when providing customer support on a ticket or to keep you informed on all the activities on your account, like log ins, transactions, and security. Without users processing their personal information for confirming each communication, we will not be able to respond to your submitted requests, questions and inquiries. All direct communications are kept confidential and we do internally review all for accuracy.
BIDESK USER DATA PROTECTION
I. User personal Data Protection.
We have implemented a number of security measures to ensure that user information, like username, password, transaction information and data stored on our Site is not disclosed, lost, abused, or altered. Sensitive and private data exchange between the Site and its Users happens over a SSL secured communication channel and is encrypted and protected with digital signatures. Bidesk Site is functioning in compliance with PCI vulnerability standards in order to create as secure of an environment as possible for Bidesk Users.
We will also put in place measures such that your personal data in our possession or under our control is destroyed and/or anonymized as soon as it is reasonable to assume that, the purpose for which that personal data was collected is no longer being served by the retention of such personal data; and secondly, retention is no longer necessary for any other legal or business purposes. Please do note that it is impossible to guarantee 100% secure transmission of data over the Internet or method of electronic storage. As such, we request that you understand the responsibility to independently take safety precautions to protect your own personal information.
II. User Personal Information Sharing
User identifiable information will not be sold, traded, or rented to others. We may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personally identifiable information regarding visitors and users with our business partners, trusted affiliates and advertisers for the purposes outlined above.

IV. Complaint Process
Any user who have any complaint or grievance regarding about how their personal data is being handled or about how we are complying with the DPA (when in force), you're allowed to contact us with your complaint or grievance. Please contact our customer support with your complaint or grievance.
